What is a Teuton?
A Teuton was a member of the West Germanic tribes that lived in northern Europe during antiquity and the early Middle Ages. They were known for their martial arts, their sense of community and their closeness to nature.
The time of the Germanic tribes
The Germanic tribes flourished from the late Iron Age to the early Middle Ages, roughly from 300 B.C. to 500 A.D. During this period, they formed their tribal structures and expanded across large parts of Europe.
The Germanic tribes were not a unified people, but a group of different tribes with their own culture and language. Among the best known are the Goths, the Vandals, the Franks and the Saxons, all of whom have left their own mark on history.
